How does strength training support women during menopause?

Explore strength training during menopause: StrongHer, technique and guidance at your level. Start at bbb with a holistic intake and free trial.

Why strength training during menopause?

Strength training helps you work on muscle strength and maintain muscle mass. This is valuable during menopause and as you get older. Suitable strength training can also form part of an approach to bone health. The aim is a load that offers enough challenge and suits your experience and health.

Technique, resistance and gradual progression

You do not need to start with heavy weights straight away. Learn the movement first, then gradually increase resistance, for example with dumbbells or other suitable exercises. Always staying with very light exercise may not provide enough stimulus for every goal. Your coach helps you choose what is challenging and manageable. With osteoporosis or physical complaints, we tailor the approach to individual advice.

Strength is more than a number on the scales

Becoming stronger can help with everyday activities such as lifting, climbing stairs and standing up. Strength training does not guarantee weight loss or automatically restore hormonal balance. Consider what you can do, how you recover and how you feel. A routine with sufficient sleep, nutrition and rest supports your training.

Women of all ages are welcome.
