By a juice detox you can stimulate the natural detoxification process of your body. Organs are less burdened by toxic substances and can therefore do their job better. You can see it as a ‘reset period’ for your metabolic system, so that your body can perform optimally again. You can choose to juice for one day, but also longer for three, five or even seven days. Ensure a good finish and build-up.

It is preferable to detox the first two weeks of your cycle. The second part of your cycle your liver has a hard time breaking down hormones towards menstruation.

Dismantling – minimum 4 days

The week before the juice detox, you finish with coffee, sugars, animal products (dairy & meat), salt, gluten and wheat. Listen carefully to your body. Certainly if you live unhealthy, you have to slow down.


Have you done a juice detox? Start day one with the slow addition of grains, fruits and vegetables, day two with fish and day three with meat and / or beans.

If you want to drink coffee or alcohol again, drink a maximum of one cup or glass to start with. You can also see if you can continue to replace this for the time being by matcha latte and non-alcoholic beer or other drinks.

What do you need

Kitchen appliances: a juicer or a blender.

Step 1: choose your vegetables

Spinach, romaine lettuce, carrot, celery, cucumber, fennel, beetroot, radishes, bok choy, Chinese cabbage, red cabbage, endive, arugula, chard, rhubarb,

Step 2: choose your fruit (maximum 1 piece of fruit or choose two pieces half pieces)

Apple, avocado, lemon, lime, banana, mango, kiwi, grapefruit, pineapple, pear, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries (frozen blueberries, raspberries and strawberries are also very tasty in the blender).

Step 3: choose your herbs

Mint, basil, coriander, rosemary, celery, ginger, cinnamon, cardamom.

Step 4 (if you make juices with the blender): choose water or vegetable milk

Water, coconut water, almond milk, rice milk, oat milk, hemp milk.


Always juice or blend the vegetables first, then add fruit and moisture / vegetable milk. The more moisture you add, the thinner the juice / smoothie becomes.
